Arkansas State Parks
United States
Приєднався 11 сер 2008
The hallmark of Arkansas's state parks system is the diversity of our scenic landscapes, natural and cultural resources, park facilities, and programs. Choose from mountain lodges and cabins on the bluffs of Arkansas's highest peaks or campsites on the shores of sparkling lakes and rivers. Tour historic buildings and museums or dig for real diamonds at the only diamond-bearing site in the world open to the public. Or visit prehistoric American Indian mound sites or one of our nation's most intact Civil War battlefields.

The town of Washington, Arkansas, which is home to Historic Washington State Park, has many ties to bladesmithing. The original Bowie knife, which is now the state knife of Arkansas, was made there. Jerry Ligon is the park blacksmith and says the shop is not a reproduction but rather a representation of Black’s shop since no one knows exactly what his shop looked like. Check out the video to le...

Do you have to rent a cabin in order to go to the park?
The name and what happened in the past isn't very attractive, is it! Just kidding...I think is amazing and I would like to visit it but with a SOS phone on me and a GPS CONNECTED via satellite!
I just finished a Fall camping trip there. What a beautiful lake!
Eh.. that's a largest ox-bow lake in the world... okay, sure
Yes Arkansas! And thank you so much!.....ATB
Just completed the Club 52 challenge! Love the parks and huge thanks for all who support them!
And let's all give a big shout-out to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, who in the 1970's ruined the lower section of this river (which was just as scenic but more suitable for casual canoeing) with a make-work dam project.
Love this, so beautiful and peaceful looking 💕
BRAVO, just crack on ! Well done ....ATB
I’ve lived in prairie grove all my life and didn’t know this story. Fascinating!
How many cabins are there to rent near mount magazine lodge
Thanks
Wow, I would love the passport, cards and shirt. Kudos to this idea. I hope you all do this every year.
Anyone read "Insident at Devil's Den" by Terry Lovelace?
I did, one of the greatest abduction story ever.
What a movie could be donne on that isn't?
Where can they be caught,or bought?
I'm fairly sure these are actually invasive... so depending on state law, it's likely you could just go scoop some with a net wherever
I found them in a large concrete holding tank that had enough water entering to stay fresh. The tank is 17' deep with a muddy bottom which these need for their unique life cycle. Fully developed, their size is from a nickel to quarter sized and very delicate.....a net would tear them to pieces. I dipped a jar in the tank and let it gently fill, catching a few.
Blues pianist Roosevelt Sykes was probably born in nearby Elmore (not 'Elmar', which didn't exist). Logging camps and sawmill towns were the livelihood of early blues and barrelhouse pianists, entertaining the workforce.
The state God hates the most. Nasty racist people who beat children for sport
Nice Chemtrail. Lol. Idiots.
interesting, saw these today in a lake in Quebec, Canada
He's the Master!
Beautiful romantic 🌹 place
It looks like they are climbing in altitude Are they riding up on thermals ? How high can they go
Forever beautiful. God bless America.
Brilliant, lovely spot to have a brew and reflect.....ATB
Excellent thank you for sharing....ATB
This rocks. Great video
please tell me you guys aren't hiking with helmets? takes all credibility away if so.
i think they were biking, hence the gloves, and the mention of mountain biking in the description
Ya gotta love Petit Jean State Park! It's a beautiful place to take your family and make great memories. Mr. Jones, I believe you are the man that we got a video clip with while doing a second grade class project with with our son, Isaac. The project was called "Flat Stanley". ua-cam.com/video/oTQKNV3b6_A/v-deo.html The kids had a lot of fun, and learned of several places in Arkansas and abroad.
Where is there a hot tub in a state park? ....Asking for a friend.
I had the same thought. It's not immediately obvious but the video is an ad for Mt. Magazine SP (see video desc). And if you look up their cabins, some of them have hot tubs. Not cheap though.
Hi
NWA is the best !! OZ TRAILS
Excellent, Arkansas the Natural State! Spectacular areas....ATB
Didn't care for your rattle making clip Arkansas. True dis to The Natives
Would that trail be good for recumbent trikes to ride?
Wow! I did not realize there was such a thing. That was very interesting and educational. I watched an episode of Kentucky Afield once where muscles help clean our creeks, and they had a neat demonstration. Here is the link for that one: ua-cam.com/video/6VMIUtQ9ecs/v-deo.html Also, they showed on another episode where they helped reintroduce some to a river that once had a particular type that are endangered. See ua-cam.com/video/UaKjXGbgazo/v-deo.html Thanks for sharing this video; I will be looking for the next one. Happy New Year to Arkansas State Park employees!
Calming, serenity but most of all Real....thank you....ATB
Thank you
Yes sir, Excellent!

Cool place to ride a bike. Nice drone views 👍
WHOOOO BUDDY THEY'RE 5- STAR!

Awesome
Arkansas has some of the finest parks in all 50 states! Thank you for sharing....ATB
Why is it called devils den!
I wanted to know the same! Sasquatch!
cuz people go missing there
Look up Terry Lovelace. There are horrific alien abduction stories and experiments on humans from that location. But yeah, nothing to see here.
From what I understand it's either from bandits that use to rob stagecoachs going to Missouri using the caves there to hide and nicknamed that or there was a legend that a huge snake like creature use to live there by local folklore! But it's also a area full of ghost stories and accounts of UFO activity and also a abduction by a guy named Terry Lovelace! Sounds like just a area shrouded in mysteries so God only knows the true reason it got its name!
The last ranger speaking is the one that helped my husband and I map out our day when we were there. He was awesome and patient with our directionally challenged selves. It was the most beautiful trail we have been on minus the big snake. Devil's Den is going to see a huge increase in visitors for sure! Congratulations to the whole team!
Loved to walk trails when I was younger and still enjoy them today! I do have a quick question, I noticed in this video there was a couple in a hammock and my question is, could you tell me what Arkansas State Parks allow hammock camping?
